The trade unions representing education workers in Northern Ireland held a protest at the Derry office of the Education Authority to highlight their common concerns over Special Educational Needs provision. The protest was timed to coincide with the monthly board meeting of the EA.  

UNISON Northern Health is celebrating with their homecare members who have just been awarded a band 3 job evaluation outcome. This process evaluates jobs to ensure members are paid in line with the duties they are undertaking.

The UNISON Organising Awards for 2017 took place on Thursday 22nd March 2018 in the Belfast Castle.

The awards took the chance to showcase the work that UNISON branches across Northern Ireland had successfully completed in 2017 and were attended by branches, regional staff, members of the NEC and the UNISON president Margaret McKee. 

UNISON  Lead Negotiator  in the  Northern Ireland  Health service  responding to the public announcement of a pay deal for NHS workers in England will seek to ensure full funding will be available to ensure our workers have the full benefit of the deal applied to them.

We will be meeting other unions, the Department of Health and employers to advance this.

The pay deficit already suffered by health workers in Northern Ireland must be ended.
