NI Assembly Elections 2022

The 2022 election comes at a critical time for all of our members. The key workers who have done so much over the last 2 years to keep the public safe during the pandemic are now struggling with the rapidly rising cost of living. Inflation is at a 30 year record level and fuel, food and energy prices are all rising sharply. For those who have given so much to keep the public safe to be put in such a position is unacceptable.

Now more than ever our members need a devolved, power-sharing Government that will work together in their interests, improve their lives and deal with the many challenges our society faces.

In the below UNISON manifesto we lay out the priority actions all parties and candidates running in this election must commit to take within a new Executive and Assembly. The massive contribution UNISON members have made and continue to make in delivering essential public services must be recognised. Now is the time to deliver for them and their families.
