Call to release £26 million owed to Health workers
UNISON NI has co-signed a letter from Health union lead negotiators to the Head of the Civil Service, David Sterling calling for the release of £26 million earmarked for payment of the 1% pay uplift due to the health workers across Northern Ireland. Anne Speed, Head of Bargaining commented, “This is pay outstanding that has in fact been earned for the last 9 months by Health workers and withholding payment could be viewed as an illegal deduction of earnings. We expect this matter to be resolved without further delay.”
