UNISON SECURES WORKERS MOVE FROM AGENCY CONTRACTS TO THE SOUTHERN TRUST

The UNISON reps from the three branches in the Southern Trust, Craigavon, Orchard and Newry & Mourne, have, after lengthy negotiations with the Trust, succeeded in moving over 200 of our members from agency employment to Trust contracts. The process has begun with support services across the Trust and once that is complete, will move on to admin staff.

The transfer has been welcomed by UNISON members with the move to permanent Trust contracts giving them an uplift to Agenda for Change pay and terms and conditions. The members will now also be included to vote in the upcoming UNISON NHS pay ballot. We are in the process of changing the membership details to enable this.

On behalf of our members, UNISON’s work on removing agency will continue.
