UNISON PAYS TRIBUTE TO MEMBER ALAN HENRY

UNISON is deeply saddened by the death of our member Alan Henry, a dedicated member of the Dementia Team in the Northern Trust, who died from Covid 19 last week.

Alan worked for a number of years in the Rapid Response Team in Antrim and then found a new vocation in the Dementia Team. He was a highly regarded member of staff.

We extend our sincere condolences to his wife Noeleen, an ICU Nurse and UNISON member, his entire family circle and to his colleagues in the Northern Health branch of UNISON.

Noeleen was interviewed by UTV news this week and gave a moving tribute to Alan. Noeleen made a highly personal plea to the public to follow the restrictions that are in place to protect us all from the kind of loss her and her family have suffered. We would like to reiterate Noleen’s plea and ask the public to stay home, protect our health and social care workers and save lives.
