UNISON CALLS FOR THE RE-INSTATEMENT OF NO CAR PARKING CHARGES FOR NHS WORKERS

UNISON along with other trade unions has asked Health Minister Robin Swann for the re-instatement of no car parking charges for NHS workers in England to be extended across the Health Trusts in Northern Ireland. The letter which was sent to the Health Minister on Friday 31st July read:

Dear Minister Swann,

Re-instatement of no car parking charges for NHS workers in England

We refer to the publication of the NHS England policy document, see link here: https://www.england.nhs.uk/ournhspeople/

We are advised by our trade union colleagues in England that a no car parking charges policy for staff will now remain in place and that this has been supported by the Health Minister.

We are now asking that you take the same steps and reinstate the subvention to all Health Trusts.

We have asked trade union colleagues at staff council to ensure Barnet consequentials are in situ for Northern Ireland.

Yours Sincerely,
Anne Speed
