No jobs on a dead planet - UNISON joins the Climate Strike

“System change not climate change” was The clarion call on Friday afternoon when young and old gathered in Belfast from all over Northern Ireland to support the climate strike and try to put pressure on our leaders and decision makers to save our planet before it is too late.

UNISON young members, staff and members of the UNISON Regional Committee were amongst thousands who thronged through the Belfast Streets in the September sunshine reflecting the marches that where taking part in every major town and city throughout the UK and the world beyond, in what must become a major campaign to change attitudes and bring about change needed while we still can.
