In this tutorial, the participants will,
(i) review the clinical skills employed within the context of the ABCDE protocol to assess and recognise the adult who is acutely unwell,
(ii) explain the role of the NEWS tool to record the clinical assessment and determine a management strategy,
(iii) review the communication strategies that can be employed to help escalate concerns for a person’s Health status.
It is targeted at nurses and health care assistants but open to any member.
