Petition: Repeal the two-child limit on tax credits

UNISON past president Margaret McKee has launched a petition to repeal the two-child limit on tax credits and universal credit.

Statistics have shown that over 70,000 low-income families have already lost almost £3,000 in the first year of the policy roll-out.

The government says the two child limit will save over £1billion in 2019/20, but the reality is it will worsen child poverty, and compulsory disclosure requirements place rape victims at risk of being re-traumatised by their experience.
